Pain-Changer - Expertise in Pijnmanagement en Medicatiebeheer

Tried everything?

Chronic pain is a reality for one in five individuals, and unfortunately, mainstream healthcare falls short for a big percentage of this group, providing insufficient solutions for their specific complaints. That's why we've developed the Pain-Changer method, an innovative approach tailored for those who haven't found suitable treatment within traditional healthcare.

From Pain Signals to Brain Signals

In 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially recognized chronic pain as a distinct medical condition. This implies that the pain should be considered independently of the original cause (damage).

Unfortunately, currently available therapies and painkillers often prove insufficient in relieving prolonged pain, mainly because they still focus on the physical damage (the original cause of the pain).

Scientific evidence, however, increasingly demonstrates the crucial role of the brain in perpetuating chronic pain. This is where our expertise lies

Contextual Healing

At Pain-Changer, the brain takes center stage as we operate using the Contextual Healing method. Developed by the Harvard Medical School, this method integrates the bio-psycho-social model and enriches it with placebo insights.

Specifically, this means focusing on thoughts, emotions, associations, and behaviors. In shaping the treatment, we also consider the (social) environment. We go as far as influencing biological processes by reprogramming the brain and stimulating the production of natural pain relievers, such as endorphins.
